Job Summary:

The Inbound Sales & Marketing Coordinator is a proactive, resourceful, and customer-focused professional who will play a key role on the marketing team. This hybrid position serves as the initial point of contact for inbound inquiries received through web forms, phone calls, and directory listings. Responsibilities include qualifying leads, enriching CRM data, and directing inquiries to the appropriate sales or customer service representatives. The coordinator may also assist directly with smaller orders.

Working within a small, growing, and collaborative team, this role offers hands-on experience across both sales and marketing functions. It presents a strong growth opportunity for an early-career professional seeking to build cross-functional skills in a fast-paced B2B environment

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound phone calls and route them appropriately.
  • Process small customer orders when applicable.
  • Qualify and route larger opportunities into the sales pipeline using HubSpot.
  • Gather and input company data to enrich CRM records.
  • Identify and document lost sales to update future stocking or pricing strategies.
  • Manage live chat communications on the company website and directory platforms (e.g. ThomasNet, Keychain).
  • Monitor and follow up on “Request a Quote” and other customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure smooth lead handoffs and lead nurturing.
  • Maintain professional and prompt communication with prospective customers.
  • Identify common customer inquiries and share insights to support content development and process improvements.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and initiatives as needed.

 Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or a marketing support role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (experience with HubSpot a plus).
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate data entry and follow-up.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-first mindset with a helpful and professional demeanor.
  • Familiarity with B2B sales processes and/or marketing campaigns is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service, inside sales, or marketing support role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary range is $55,000-70,000 annually.
