Spreading Joy: ILLING Packaging Sends Heartfelt Letters for Elders
Our ILLING Packaging team was excited to come together once again to celebrate Letter for an Elder Day with pastries and positivity! Since Wednesday, February 26th was National Letter to an Elder Day, we couldn’t pass up a chance to make some kind new pen pals and share happiness!
Many elderly individuals are homebound, limiting their ability to engage in vital social interactions. Some may have no nearby family or access to modern communication technology to help them feel connected. They may also be battling illnesses and going through a tough time due to the winter blues. Receiving written letters is a great way to offer them hope, brighten their day, and uplift their spirits. ILLING Packaging partnered with Love For Our Elders, an organization dedicated to fighting loneliness with love, one letter at a time. Learn more about Love For Our Elders here.
Our ILLING employees got together to write 20 handwritten letters in hopes of inspiring and creating smiles for elderly folks across the United States. We were able to connect with a sweet lady who loves botany, an elderly gentleman who enjoys classic muscle cars and photos of jumping spiders, war Veterans, cancer survivors, and more! We are grateful for our employees, who took time out of their day to help spread positivity for these elders in need.
